Extended Information on Cookie Use
This website uses technical cookies to ensure the correct functioning of procedures and improve the experience of using online applications. This document provides information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used by the site, and how to manage them.
Definitions
Cookies are small text files that sites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored before being transmitted back to the same sites on the next visit. Cookies from so-called “third parties” are, however, set by a website different from the one the user is visiting. This is because each site may contain elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that reside on servers different from that of the visited site.
Types of cookies
Based on the characteristics and use of cookies, different categories can be distinguished:
• Technical cookies. Technical cookies are those used solely for “carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service” (see Art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). They are not used for further purposes and are usually installed directly by the owner or operator of the website. They can be divided into navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website; analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies where used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, about the number of users and how they visit the site; functionality cookies, which allow users to navigate based on a series of selected criteria in order to improve the service rendered to them. The installation of such cookies does not require the prior consent of users, while the obligation to provide information pursuant to Art. 13 of the Code remains, which the site operator, if only using such devices, may provide in the manner it deems most suitable.
• Profiling cookies. Profiling cookies are aimed at creating user profiles and are used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences shown by the user while browsing the web. Due to the particular invasiveness that such devices can have within the private sphere of users, European and Italian legislation requires that the user be adequately informed about their use and thus express their valid consent. They refer to Art. 122 of the Code where it provides that “the storage of information in the terminal equipment of a contracting party or a user or access to information already stored is only allowed provided that the contracting party or user has given their consent after being informed in the simplified manner referred to in Article 13, paragraph 3” (Art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). This site does not use profiling cookies.
Third-party cookies
Visiting this website, you may receive cookies from sites managed by other organizations (“third parties”). An example is the presence of “social plugins” for Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, or embedded multimedia content display systems such as YouTube, Flickr. These are parts generated directly by the aforementioned sites and integrated into the web page of the host site visited. The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites operated by third parties. The management of the information collected by “third parties” is governed by the relevant information to which please refer. To ensure greater transparency and convenience, the web addresses of the various information and ways to manage cookies are listed below:

Cookie analytics
WebTrends
For the sole purpose of monitoring and improving site performance, a market analysis product is used to detect site access. It may use cookies, both permanent and non, for the purpose of collecting statistical information and on “unique visitors” to the site. Cookies, defined as “Unique Visitor Cookies”, contain an alphanumeric code that identifies the navigation computers, without however any collection of personal data.
Google Analytics
The site also includes components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). These cookies are used solely to monitor and improve website performance. For more information, please refer to the following link:

Users can selectively disable the action of Google Analytics by installing on their browser the opt-out component provided by Google. To disable the action of Google Analytics, please refer to the following link:

Cookie duration
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or until the execution of the logout command. Other cookies “survive” the closure of the browser and are also available on subsequent visits by the user. These cookies are called persistent and their duration is fixed by the server at the time of their creation. In some cases, an expiration date is set, in other cases the duration is unlimited.
Managing cookies
The user can decide whether to accept cookies using the settings on their browser. Warning: the total or partial disabling of technical cookies can impair the optimal use of the site. Disabling “third-party” cookies does not affect browseability in any way. The setting can be defined specifically for different websites and web applications. Moreover, the browsers allow you to define different settings for “proprietary” and “third-party” cookies. As an example, in Firefox, through the Tools->Options->Privacy menu, it is possible to access a control panel where you can define whether to accept or not the different types of cookies and proceed with their removal. On the internet, you can easily find documentation on how to set the management rules for cookies in your browser, for example, here are some addresses related to the main browsers:
